The Original Poetry and Literary Scholarship is open to high school seniors and juniors who submit their original, unpublished poems (in English). Student poems will be reviewed for artistic creativity and originality. Applicants must be accepted by an accredited university or college, or, if a junior in high school, must be enrolled in either a public or private secondary school. Description:

Essay contest open to all students in grades nine through twelve attending public, private, or parochial schools or participating in a high school correspondence program in any of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, or the U.S. territories, or if they are U.S. citizens attending schools overseas. Students whose parents are members of the United States Foreign Service or are on the Steering and Advisory Committee for the 75th Anniversary are NOT eligible. Applicants must submit a 1,000 word essay (4 pages double spaced) on the topic “America’s Career Diplomats: The Foreign Service of the United States and it’s Role.” Selection will be based on quality of research, quality of analysis, form, style and mechanics. The winner will receive a $2,500 check . They will also win a $500 check for their school or sponsor.

The Jeremiah Clubb Memorial Scholarship Fund is open to single students attending an accredited two- or four-year college or university. Applicants must be U.S. citizens who are at least 17 years old with GPAs between 2.3 and 3.4 and may be seniors in high school at the time of making application. These awards are based on scholastic achievement, determination and financial need. The respective deadline dates are: December 31 for April awards; April 30 for August awards; and August 31 for December awards.
