Blocking All Use of Cookies

Below are simple instructions for globally or selectively disabling cookies on the most popular web browsers. If your browser or version is not listed here, please refer to your browser’s Help menu or printed manual for instructions.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x Menu: View-Internet Options Select Tab: Advanced Find Section: Cookies Select your choiceMicrosoft Internet Explorer 5.x Menu: Tools-Internet Options Select Tab: Security – Custom Level Scroll Down to “Cookies” Section and Select Your Choice(s)

To eliminate cookies or to deny cookies in the future:
Internet Explorer 3.0, go to the View menu, then to Options, then to Advanced. Check the box that says “Warn before accepting cookies.” Then go into your cookies directory (usually c:windowscookies) and delete all the files you have there. Once you delete these files, you will have no more cookies, and you will be prompted each time a Web site attempts to send a cookie to your system. Choose to either Accept or Cancel the cookie.
