Jim Alekna
Eagle Court of Honor April 14th , 2002
On April 14th 2002 James Alekna of Scout Troop 72 received the coveted rank of Eagle in a ceremony with family, friends, dignitaries and fellow scouts.
The culmination of many years of active participation, development of leadership skills, many merit badges earned and a lot of good times, he arrived at this prestigious plateau only after the completion of his "Eagle Project" - bat houses constructed and placed in the recreational areas of our township, helping to protect the bats that in turn are beneficial to the environment in Abington.Jim is to be congratulated for the years of hard work ( with a lot of fun mixed in ) that brought him this honor.
