ON TOP OF OLD SMOKEY

On top of old Smokey all covered with snow

I lost my true lover from courting too slow

Now courting is pleasure and parting is grief

And a false hearted lover is worse than a thief

So come all  you maidens and listen to me

Never place your affections on a green willow tree

For the tree it will wither and the roots they will die   c  g
You will all be forsaken, and never know why  d

I lost my true lover from courting too slow      d g

On Top Of Spaghetti
On top of spaghetti, all covered with cheese, I lost my poor meatball when somebody sneezed
It rolled off the table, and onto the floor  The last time I saw it , it rolled out the door
It rooled down the driveway and under a bush, and now my poor meatball is nothing but mush
So if you like spahetti, all covered with chees - hold on to your meatball, should somebody sneeze
