MY BONNIE LIES OVER THE OCEAN - 1882 Originally a Scottish Folk Song, published under the pseudonyms J. T. Wood (words) and H. J. Fulmer ( music). The composer*s real name is Charles E. Pratt. It was published in 1881 and shortly thereafter was heard on many college campuses. It was perfect for community singing with children as well as adults and barbershop singers.
