Pulling no Punches: Bill McKibben’s Eaarth
Tuesday, April 12, 7:30pm
Little Friends Meetinghouse, Jenkintown Road, Abington
Cosponsored by Earthright  & Briar Bush Nature Center

Ever since 1989's groundbreaking The End of Nature, Bill McKibben has raised a series of eloquent alarms, emerging as this generation’s most important writer, today’s Muir or Carson.  In his latest, Eaarth (yes, with two a’s), he leads readers to a devastating conclusion: we've passed the tipping point for climate change, and it's time to get creative about our survival. His solutions might surprise you, and his refusal to abandon hope restores faith in the future. Our conversation is co-led by Paul Macht, whose architecture firm has been specializing in environmentally sensitive design since 198, president of Earthright, and Mike Weilbacher Director of Briarbush Nature Center .    Park in the Abington Art Center’s parking lot on Meetinghouse Road and follow the Art Trail to the restored meetinghouse.
