active member who participates in monthly meetings and projects OR as an armchair member
who supports Earthright's efforts and is counted as someone who is concerned about the
local environment.
By joining Earthright, you will get
together with others who are committed to efficient, non-polluting systems of resource
utilization and waste management. We will be learning how we can have an impact on the
environment - by using energy efficient compact fluorescent light bulbs, by separating our
"garbage" into recyclable "resources", by installing water efficient
shower heads, by purchasing products packaged in recyclable materials. We will learn about
environmental legislation at the local, state, and national levels.
We plan our activities to be fun as
well as educational. We emphasize the "everyone wins" aspect of environmental
awareness. We aim to really make a difference in our homes and communities. We need you.
