HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTES

Items that may be disposed of at hazardous waste collections generally consist of :

Motor oil, antifreeze, pesticides, herbicides, paint products (NOT LATEX PAINT) , dyes, household cleaners, photography & pool chemicals, concrete and asphalt sealers .

No more than 220 lbs per vehicle or containers over 5 gal.
All products must be in original containers  with labels.
Wrap Leaking containers in newspaper and plastic bag.
__________________________

PLEASE HELP !  Please DO NOT bring Latex paints. These are not hazardous and may be dried and thrown in the trash. Only Oil Based Paints are hazardous. Currently about 1/2 of the costs for processing these wastes is going to Latex paint and other non hazardous products and this is eating into the program budget!!
